One of the main differences between traditional raisins vs. wine raisins is that wine raisins still have the antioxidant-rich seeds inside the fruit. Wine raisins and their crunchy seeds are filled with vast amounts of antioxidants, specifically ‘epicatechins’, which are proven to help prevent heart disease and cancers.
We are a family-owned and operated small company that practices upcycling and values sustainable farming practices. In fact, our founder, a cardiologist, invented this new food group, and was just issued a US Patent for the process/method of turning wine grapes into gourmet raisins.
